If you're here, it's because your anti-spam or anti-virus just doesn't work. They try to block bad senders. That is never going to work as senders can just change their email address or use a VPN.
SpamBuster completely changes the model. Instead of blocking bad senders, we allow good senders.
Instead of you having to track down if a sender is a human or someone you want to receive email from, we make them, the sender, verify they're real. If they are real and the message isn't Spam, they have 1-click to verify they're real and not sending spam - and it only ever needs to be done once. After that, email flows just as before.
For individuals
SpamBuster is for individuals. Normally Spam blocking services are for big IT departments and move the control of your inbox to the tech team. SpamBuster gives you full visibility and control over what lands in your inbox. And it works with all those other blocking tools (although you won't need them anymore).
No email is deleted
You never miss a message, nothing is deleted. Unknown senders cannot land a message in your inbox without verifying they're human and the message isn't spam.
SpamBuster vs Others
Anti-spam tools blacklist email addresses, IPs or domains. A bad sender just changes IP, or uses another email address to bypass that.
Bad senders can't get on your allow list which is why SpamBuster is different.

Does it work with my other spam and filtering software?
Yes - SpamBuster only looks at the messages that have made it past all those preemptive layers.
Does SpamBuster delete my messages?
No, SpamBuster simply moves unknown messages to the SpamBuster folder, and then will move them to the inbox if either you or the sender verify it's not spam.
Can I manage which senders and domains are approved senders?
Yes, absolutely. If you allow, SpamBuster can create the initial approved lists by looking at your Sent Items and e-mail addresses in your contacts. You always have full control of who is allowed and which lists are active. Keep in mind that no person sees your contacts, and your contacts are never emailed. It allows previous contacts to bypass verification.
Do I have to let SpamBuster see my previous senders?
No, but it is a way to avoid having all your previous correspondents verify. It's up to you, as verification is only needed one time and is only 1-click. So starting with a blank approval list works well too.
Will you use my contacts?
Absolutely not. We made this service to help people, not make anyone angry. We won't use your contacts and we won't sell your data. We're saving your inbox from spam and scams.
Does SpamBuster need my username and password?
Not always. For example, if using Gmail, you can log in on the Gmail side and give SpamBuster permissions without ever having to share your credentials.
For other email services that do not offer API access, you can simply add your email account information.
Do I need to install an app?
No, just configure SpamBuster here on the website and you're good to go.
Does SpamBuster work with all my devices?
Yes! Any device that checks your inbox will get the benefit of SpamBuster. No need to install an app, or configure multiple devices - just a one-time setup on the website and you're good to go.
Does SpamBuster work with distribution lists?
Yes, SpamBuster works on the messages that have landed in your inbox. If a message is sent to a distribution list that is then delivered to your inbox, SpamBuster will check it.
What if I want someone to email me and not need a verification?
There are 2 ways to handle this. The cool way is to give them your secret code. If my email address is bob@gmail.com, and my secret code is ABCD, I would tell the sender to use bob+ABCD@gmail.com. You can configure your secret code in settings and can change it at any time.
The other option is to add them to your verified senders list, here.
Can I see what actions SpamBuster took on my emails?
Yes. We believe in full transparency so you can view the actions log file to see when messages arrive, if the sender clicked verify, if a sender matched a verified list and what SpamBuster did.
Will SpamBuster ever send a message as me?
No. Verification emails are sent from SpamBuster, not your address. And we will never send a message as you.
What protocol does SpamBuster use?
SpamBuster will use direct APIs when available. If not, it will use the proven IMAP protocol which has been around for decades.
Does it work with my outlook rules?
Yes. Outlook rules execute when Outlook is running. SpamBuster will run even in the background which may end up executing before your Outlook rules.
I have corporate email - can it work for me?
Yes, if allowed by your IT department. And additional Enterprise-specific features are coming soon.
